I’ve bought used motorcycles, and before I ever contacted a seller, I’d spend too much time digging through the internet trying to figure out a bike’s story.

The VIN, model and year, recalls and known problems, MSRP and resale pricing, old listings, reviews … I was trying to construct the bike’s history as best I could. Sometimes I’d end up with more questions than answers. And I’d be out several hours I could never get back - hours that could’ve been spent on a ride.

I wanted a better way, a tool I would actually want to use myself.

That’s why I built CycleStory.

CycleStory takes a motorcycle listing and turns it into a structured investigation. It pulls together information about the bike, its history, its model, its price, and the things I think are worth asking the seller about.

I also don’t want CycleStory to pretend it knows something it doesn’t. The report separates what we can verify from what is analysis or still unknown. The goal isn’t to tell you which motorcycle to buy. It’s to help you know what you’re buying before you hand over the money.
